Do I lose money by selling equipment at Jameson Memorial (Founders World)?

Considering equipment is sold at a discount at Jameson Memorial in Founders World, if I sell my equipment there do I also sell it at a discount, for less money than I would sell it elsewhere? Or does the discount only apply when you buy something? Since I buy all my ships there, I like to sell the old one's equipment, but I don't want to lose money by not selling it elsewhere...

From what I understand you get what you paid for it. You don't make any extra and you don't lose anything.

Or what he/she said above. :D

discount will apply when you buy equipment/ship in that station but also when you sell that equipment/ship in same or any other station . means you can t buy cheaper there and go sell it at normal price somewhere else and thus make profit . but you can use this to decrease your insurance claim amount , i did it on few of mine bigger ships .
if you come to that station to sell your old equipment you won t loose any credits so no , you don t sell on discount your equipment that you bought somewhere else .

If you buy a ship or equipment at a discount you get that discounted price when you sell it elsewhere. (So you can't use it to make profits trading ships - I tried it :)).

You don't lose (or gain anything) just pay less in the first place.

At one point (Beta?) that was the case, so it was possible to lose money (or make money!) from moving equipment - but no, not anymore. Now you get what you paid for it.

I'm still not clear if ships are discounted 10% or just look like they are (as at one point), but I think they are now. Similarly, insurance costs for ships are related to the price you paid for it, not its RRP.

You can occasionally do better than 10% elsewhere as part of various community goals, for example 15% off a Python was one of the CG results, so keep an eye out for that - but Jameson's nice and consistent.

While you are there can you pop to FLT 926 and beat up some of the LFT 926 Interstellar party at the combat zone in LFT 926

If you sell your stuff there with the intention of replacing it with discounted modules you will have to sell the items you want to swap out and then log off for about 10 minutes to clear them out of your buyback list. Otherwise the only version you can buy is the regular price one you just sold. You won't be able to get the Founders World price until your buyback list is cleared.

I've found undocking and redocking clears the buyback list too.
