Do I need to buy Odyssey from same place I got the base game?

I have seen similar questions so I'm guessing the answer to my question is yes but I will ask anyway just in case.

I picked up the base game from Epic Game Store a while back. If I want to add Odyssey do I need to get it from the same place? I would imagine that EGS and Steam are incompatible but could I get Odyssey directly from the Frontier Store and use it OK?

(Yes, Odyssey is currently reduced from Frontier but not on Epic.)

Odyssey is stubbornly sitting at full price just now so I guess I'll just keep an eye out for it getting discounted. In no major hurry anyway but I do fancy some on foot exploration sometime.

No it isn't. It might have been on offer by Steam (it is not at the moment) but it is full-price in frontierstore.net as usual.

Yeah, you're right, it's back at full price - I def saw it reduced (£17.99 I think) recently though.
