Engineers Do I realy have to die?

For me it is getting worse every day. Every 3rd to 5th jump I am interdicted by an elite NPC pilot. Will this go on for ever and ever, or will it stop when I die one time? If it helps, please tell me so, I will gladly pay the rebuy if I am able to do 10 jumps in a row without interdiction.

So can you sort of explain what you are doing, so I can understand. I jump around a lot doing missions here and there, I have a hold full of goodies and I get interdicted rarely (except for mission based NPCs, their skill is determined by the rank of the mission they are associated with). Every once in a while a random NPC (usually elite, since I am elite ranked) will interdict me for my goodies, but its fairly rare.

Nope, dying probably won't help.

What would help answering this question, though, would be knowing

- are you on a mission?
- are you carrying cargo?
- where are you flying (low sec/anarchy)?
- are you pledged to a power?
- what's your pilot's level?

I've only ever been interdicted by a master level Ai so far and it hasn't been common at all, in fact I've been exploring in the bubble so usually I'm just sat there at idle throttle waiting for a scan to finish, have you pledged in PP or doing a high ranked mission?

I'm not seeing much of a difference from before - stack enough missions (well up to the max now) and interdictions go up same as they always did before. The rank of the interdicting ship seems to have gone up etc but as this is commensurate with the mission rankings, all as expected....?

On my last interdiction I had:
no mission
I carried 4x radiation baffle, 4x modular terminals, 4x telemetry suite, 4x nanobrakters
I am with no power.

my combat rank is dangerous
my traderank is elite
my explorer rank is pathfinder

the system was Procyon: Federation, medium security.

Its because your high combat rank and your carrying cargo, drop the cargo or fly something that can always escape.

Thats about it sadly :p Im in exactly the same boat.

He want's my tasty cargo.

Unfortunately. they do that even when you're carrying no cargo. They let just anyone be a NPC these days; I don't think they follow up references at all.

More important questions: What were you flying and what did you do when when were interdicted?

No they won't do that anymore, no cargo no inderdiction because of tasty cargo.

I am flying an A-Python. I was on the way to a station of Sirius Company to do missions for them. I wanted to get some, I had none active. How I am supposed to get the stuff for upgrades when I am interdicted az soon as I have 1 ton of engineer cargo on board?

I made som tests. It is realy the cargo in my hold. The moment you have commodities in your hold that are needet for engineers, you are dead meat. 720 Units of imperial slaves are of no interest to pirates. 1 Unit of modular terminals and it seems you are a high priority target to every elite anaconda pirate in a 50 ly bubble.

Of Course, its obvious. The NPC's are so fragging tired of finding stuff for Engineers that, this stuff has become high priority piracy Item, due to the grind.
Imperial slaves, Palladium Bahh! They just buy that stuff.
;)

Cheers Cmdr's

No, dying wont help. But relogging may. So if it botheres you too much, escape back to Supercruise and then switch modes or simply reconnect. In most cases the current NPC should be gone. And maybe you wont get another one on your tail.
Or High wake into another system and back. Takes time but is better than dying ;)

Hmm that is good to know, and pretty much puts crafting on hold for me, until we get a way to store stuff
