If you do lots of missions within an area/station/faction do they dry up ?
I know that in 1.1 the types of mission would change and evolve. It is possible for a faction to be struggling for cash and not have the ability to offer a certain type of mission I believe. They do refresh at certain points however, and you have to remember you're not the only commander having an affect. Trade etc. does too.
If you only have a few hours to play and want to do faction missions then check the BB in Open, Groups and Solo, 1 after another, this forces a BB refresh and allows you to get some of the missions you want rather than sit and wait (I do this until I get 2 or 3 anti-pirate/assasinations).
It's ridiculous that systems with billions of people only have 6-12 offers of work for Allied High Rank and Rated pilots, and maybe none of the missions are legal! So I certainly don't view this as an exploit, just gaming the game a little.
Hmm, maybe it's just me then, I've been doing assassination contracts for the last week at the same few stations, but it's like something has changed, the missions I was doing all week have become pretty rare from last night to today, I'll keep testing it for the rest for the week, then I can get some details.
Any status of the faction (Boom, Bust etc) will have an effect on what sort of mission is offered.
