Do missions dry up ?

If you do lots of missions within an area/station/faction do they dry up ?

I know that in 1.1 the types of mission would change and evolve. It is possible for a faction to be struggling for cash and not have the ability to offer a certain type of mission I believe. They do refresh at certain points however, and you have to remember you're not the only commander having an affect. Trade etc. does too.

Hmm, maybe it's just me then, I've been doing assassination contracts for the last week at the same few stations, but it's like something has changed, the missions I was doing all week have become pretty rare from last night to today, I'll keep testing it for the rest for the week, then I can get some details.

If you only have a few hours to play and want to do faction missions then check the BB in Open, Groups and Solo, 1 after another, this forces a BB refresh and allows you to get some of the missions you want rather than sit and wait (I do this until I get 2 or 3 anti-pirate/assasinations).

It's ridiculous that systems with billions of people only have 6-12 offers of work for Allied High Rank and Rated pilots, and maybe none of the missions are legal! So I certainly don't view this as an exploit, just gaming the game a little.

Yeah they had to fix the open/solo/group BB re-load cheesploit sometime ago, you could continually stack them. Yeah I'm with you on the "there should be 100's of missions", and don't get me started on mission timers for bounty/sin missions, heh.

Any status of the faction (Boom, Bust etc) will have an effect on what sort of mission is offered.

My gameplay is very similar to what you do, picking up all the legal combat and assassination missions in several systems close to each other, and I sometimes also find the bulletin board runs out of my preferred mission types.

I agree that there should be much more missions posted, despite I still consider mode switching is an exploit, since it's obviously not the way the game is supposed to be played. However, I have to do this everyday because it's the only way to make a living with the pathetic mission payout. Sometimes, like yesterday, I can't help wondering if it's the repeated logging in and out that causes the server failure.:p

It's good to know this. I noticed last week that during a civil war, all the assassination missions became "kill the deserter" type.
