Do not litter signs?

Humans are slobs. I know that is a fact, but still, planet zoo guess are something else. I have to put far more trash cans in than I've ever seen in a real zoo, and if I put in a new food or drink shop without quadrupling the trash cans/rubbish bins in that part of the zoo and hiring a new groundskeeper, the litter piles up almost immediately.

Real zoos typically have do not litter signs. Obviously, they don't work 100%, but I doubt zoos would bother with them if they made no difference at all. Maybe do not litter signs could be included, the way we have do not feed and do not disturb signs? This could at least increase the distance a guest will walk to a non overflowing trash can before dumping their wrappers on the ground.

And gotta love the groundskeeper animation for dealing with full trash cans. They don't haul the full trash bags off, but instead simply mush the trash down with their broom. I assume that was simpler to do, but it's kind of funny to imagine the trash cans as infinite compacters.

Also, I have to ask. Do the recycle bins have a different dynamic, or are they just the same as trash bins but are just there for the looks of the thing?

Why can't they just walk a While with their Trash? Already suggested once that Guests should get 2 Pocket Spaces where they can put their Trash in until they reach a Trash Can.
I'd love to have a Version of the Sign that tells the Guests that they need to pay a Fine if they are caught littering

Egad yes. Planet Co/Zoo guests are absolute slobs and the worst I've ever seen in littering. A store that sold 100 items over the last year somehow generates 2000 pieces of trash - statistics, or at least that's what it feels like

Somet needs to be done about the litter problem, that's for sure. I'm not sure about having to add another million pieces of street furniture, but I like the proposal of them holding onto their rubbish longer at least. Even irl I don't see an awful lot of litter in zoos, people tend to be a bit more "respectful" when they know they're being watched.

Idk. I have to place a lot of keep quite signs and animals are still stressed out. If there could be a do not litter sign, I would like it to be selectable when creating work zones so I can navigate my security guards and janitors to those spots.

Helps that they're around animals too. A single piece of litter can prove fatal to a zoo animal if they ate it and it was caught to late.
Especially in animals that lack the ability to throw up like equines.
Unfortunately I don't think an awful lot of people irl care about that, judging by the amount of fly tipping I see.

Perhaps it should be that security guards hand out on-the-spot fines for littering.
That's a brilliant idea, it'd give them somet to actually do considering most of their shift seems to be spent doing the limbo and waving.

I’d like to be able to assign a route for security guards. Sometimes I have to add a vending machine or a bathroom just to make them go to certain areas in their work zones. It seems when they catch someone they chase them, shake their finger and the guests simply leave. Making them pay for damage/litter sounds nice.

Absolutely, and not just zoo animals. I had a dog who got very sick and needed surgery because of something she snarfed out of a trash can. The item blocked her intestines, and she would have died without surgery.

I haven't noticed people throwing litter into the animal enclosures in this game, though some do tease the animals (I hate that guy). There's that "animal has eaten guest food" thing, but I've never actually caught an animation of someone feeding ice cream or a burger to an animal.

Never quite sure what to do when an animal eats guest food. The alert sticks around for ages, sometimes even after I call the vet or send the animal to quarantine. The only way to get rid of it seems to be to dismiss it.

I like the idea of fining guests for littering, though I'm not sure real zoos can do that, since security guards aren't actually law enforcement who can write tickets or arrest people. I have heard of shoplifters being detained by "mall cops" until real police come. And just remembered when I was a kid my brother and his friend were dragged off to see "Big Mickey" (as in the head of Disneyland security) because they got into an argument with another guest over saving someone's place in line, and some family unfriendly words were said. They weren't even kicked out of the park, though, and it sounds like it was mostly finger shaking. But they didn't steal anything or do anything unsafe.

Maybe we should get a zoo security building with one of those rooms with screens for all the security cameras with a bored-looking guard watching them and vandal/thief detention area in a future Xpac :p

I'd like to know why so much rubbish is dropped in front of the stadiums when you have a show and just after - it looks like a tip after each show. Naughty Planet Zoo peeps

They don't feed it to them directly but throw it into the Enclosure. Still mad at those Idiots that caused me so much Work trying to get all that Pizza out of the Water Moat so the Okapis stop getting sick all the Time

I'd love that. The Cameras would make way more Sense if someone could look at them
