Do not make preorder bonus available later

EDIT: Almost feel like I should've titled this "Add Oswald's Magnificent Machine to Planet Coaster 2" instead, because realistically that's the best solution to this situation, just add it to PlanCo 2, for EVERYONE as an apology for the situation with the preorder not being available seperately in PlanCo 1, I don't think anyone is realistically going to complain about having it in PlanCo 2, I think if anything it's just going to make some people very happy since they didn't get to use it in PlanCo 1

Read before complaining about my title please people. Planet Coaster 1 did NOT make Oswald's Magnificent Machine available at a later date seperately, even now, EIGHT YEARS later we still cannot get this coaster. I know I at the very least preordered Planet Coaster 2 on the basis of how the preorder bonus was handled in Planet Coaster 1 and would not have preordered if the bonus would be available later, I am sure I am not alone on this. I've seen some on Reddit try to reference Planet Zoo's preorder bonus being released later, but this is not Planet Zoo nor do (as far as I'm aware) a majority of the PlanCo community care about Planet Zoo, we care about theme parks not zoos so this cannot be used as a "well they did it in Planet Zoo so you should know" because again, EIGHT YEARS without Oswald's Magnificent Machine and counting...

If the policy on preorder bonuses has changed, then release Oswald's Magnificent Machine seperately, or hell, how about adding it to Planet Coaster 2 as an apology if you do release the preorder bonus of PlanCo2 seperately? A "sorry we weren't more transparent on this matter from the start"

I disagree.

I, too, bought the pre order and more expensive one at it.. but I do think the whole game should be available at some point. As long as it is equal to same cost, if not more, than what I purchased it at.
If it was gifted free, or reduced price (difference) then I'd probably have more to complain about.

Then as I say, we should be able to buy the preorder bonus of PlanCo 1 seperately, or have it (Oswald's Magnificent Machine) added to PlanCo 2 and given to everyone as an apology for lack of transparency on the situation, I provided an alternative if their pre-order policy has changed, which is why I said to read the whole thing and not just the title in the first sentence.

Either both need to line up, or we need some kind of apology for lack of transparency on the matter, it's that simple.

You also preordered under the assumption that the preorder bonus would be released later, which means you either didn't play PlanCo1 or forgot the situation with Oswald's Magnificent Machine. Meanwhile I preordered on the assumption that it WOULDN'T be available later, as was the case with PlanCo1, which is a fair assumption considering.

But they're, technically, two different games.

There is no reason why they should replicate what they done in one game in another.

Every Frontier game prior to Planet Zoo did not release it's preorder bonus later, thus my assumption is still fair and thus the lack of transparency requires an apology of some kind if it is released later. As again, some of us would've not preordered if the bonus were to be released later.

If a mistake was made once, I think it's best to learn about it and not making it again. Pre-order bonus should be available for all at a later point (maybe for a higher price). Those who pre ordered the game already benefited from having the bonus available earlier and cheaper.

How is this a ME mistake? They weren't transparent about it and they did not release the preorder bonus of ANY GAME prior to Planet Zoo seperately later. If anything this is on Frontier. The standard expectation would be for follow ups to continue in the same vein as prior titles, of which every single one except ONE did not release later.

No, not your fault. The mistake was made by Frontier in Planet Coaster 1 for not releasing the bonus ride later. They should have done it. I think they learnt they made a lot of people sad for not being able to get it and now they give second chances. At least they did it for zoo, so I hope they do it for PC2 too.

Ah, apologies, I've spent a life of being blamed for the mistakes of others, I did not mean to get all up in arms at you like that. This is why I want them to either make that preorder available though or even port it into Plan Co 2. The ride doesn't exist in Plan Co 2 and it would be a nice addition to everyone, it's not like I've just sat here and gone "screw everyone that hasn't preordered", merely asked for either the other preorder or something extra in PlanCo 2 for EVERYONE to make up for that entire situation

I may have a weird thought about it, but:

- i do care about planet zoo (because it is a fantastic game with great features and education while playing a game)

- i didn't pre-ordered because i wanted to support the game and wanted of course to use the additional conten from the start

- i do not mind, if the bonus content would be released right now, because i understand that not everyone has simply the money to buy a 65 euro game

- i understand that not everyone want, that their pre-order bonus will be available for all to play around

I did preorder, but i'm okay if the content gets released at a later stadium (not right now, we didn't preorder for nothing). It sucks they didn't do this for planet coaster 1, but I wouldn't encourage them to make the same mistake they did then. It's been 8 years, let it go and let other people not get the same resentment as you are having about the first game.

Please don't masch it up.
The pre order bonus was available for the base game (50€) and for the deluxe edition (65€).
Actually you can buy a deluxe upgrade (Vintage Funfair Ride Pack 19€).

Pre order bonuses never should be available after release because then it's useless to pre order! And that's unfair to customers who trusted in an unreleased product.

This is my thought process as well, especially considering how it was handled in PlanCo 1 but I think a better solution is to give us Oswald's Magnificent Machine from PlanCo 1, for everyone, for free in PlanCo 2. This way no one feels shafted about how the first game's pre-order was handled if they do choose to sell the preorder later.

Or y'know, they could apologise by giving us Oswald's Magnificent Machine in PlanCo 2 which would completely solve the problem. It's not right to flip the script on people with no apology, fact.

As someone who got into these games from Roller Coaster Tycoon, I'm here for sim theme parks not Zoos, been playing these kinds of titles since RCT 1 and not once have I ever been interested in zoo stuff UNTIL it was added to RCT3 in the Wild expansion.

The game wasn't 65 euros, you only had to buy the base edition which was 50 euros which yes "not everyone simply has the money for" but it's not like this game was just dropped on us with no notice, there was plenty of notice that this was coming and by this logic we could say "all games should be free because someone might not be able to buy them" which is not something that's ever going to happen nor should it happen.

As I've said multiple times now the best solution that seems to keep both sides happy is just add Oswald's Magnificent Machine to PlanCo 2 for EVERYONE, then people that feel shafted by how it was handled in PlanCo 1 won't feel shafted by people being able to buy the preorder bonus later in PlanCo 2
