Do Odyssey missions effect the BGS less than ship missions?

In a low population/less traveled system I did about 15 odyssey missions plus a few murders/odyssey bounties. At the next tick influence had dropped a whopping 1.2%. If I were in ships I would have expected a 5%+ drop. Do odyssey missions/action count for less?

Which kind of missions, and were they targeted at the same system? One thing I noticed is that the Odyssey UI is not completely fixed regarding destination effects - for example ship the black box missions reward screen isn't really telling you the factions they hurt and you only know that they still work because you'll get mails about your reputation dropping.

On ships you usually expect effects from the mission giver and from the destination, and in the case of Odyssey missions it very often is in the same system, so if those missions are targeting other factions you might be affecting your own faction gains because of it, supposing this two-way logic applies to Ody missions.

More info needed, basically.

Different missions have different effects. Influence rewards are tied to credit rewards, and as such a majority of Odyssey missions don't give more than + or ++, because their payouts are rarely worth more than 200-300k, while a +++++ inf mission needs at least 1.5m in rewards usually... which most space missions are.

There is also a bug which was thought to be a display bug, where all mission submissions give just + inf... maybe that isn't just a display bug.

But yeah, it's hard to say Odyssey gives less without knowing whether you're comparing like with like.

I'd assumed they do less because the are listed as doing less (as jmanis said). So it's hardly surprising if true 🤷‍♀️

I've been doing more bgs stuff recently, so just switched back to space missions. The mission boards at settlements can still be useful, as they are from a single faction.
