So I had come up with a genius idea to get some odyssey stuffs (mainly for gear upgrades). The idea was fairly straightforward, steal a working Power Regulator from a active settlement, and use it to power up abandoned settlements that were abandoned as the result of Thargoids, and then take whatever was left behind. Additionally, I would recover the Power Regulator after each use. In theory, this would allow me to plunder as many settlements as I pleased. Easy pickings, right?
Well, at the latest settlement, I was working on one of the buildings when suddenly there was a small bang. The power went out immediately afterward, with not even any advance warning from the Power Center.
I wasn't in the Power Center at the time, so I am uncertain what happened, but one thing is certain, the power regulator I was using is MIA.
I considered that maybe I just got unlucky and a player took the regulator, but that would require a full shutdown, I would have been alerted long before it completes.
Which leads to the thread's main question. Can someone confirm this possibility?
