Do rare commodities respawning after 5-10 minutes?

So, got a very low 2 units on a rare commodity.
thought I would sit it out and wait for re supply.
After about several minutes, the commodity just vanished.
No longer saying high demand or another stats, just no longer there.

Is this normal?
Why only 2 units, seems crazy.
I understand the cut backs, but 2 units?

Hmmmm..never mind after another 5 minutes 12 stock came back...

Depends on the rare item/station you are at. A new patch reduced the amount of rares you can get at a station to a set amount per character once you have it inventory. Some stations actually do only stock 1 or 2 rare items and will never spawn more if you have the items in your cargo hold (for you only of course). Other stations stock as many as 21 tons of a rare.

Look of a few threads about rare items..list stations, items, amounts, etc.

It would be a very easy option for making lots of credits if stations were always at full stock or they would need to reduce the profits you can make dramatically. Particularly so since you can find out where rares are on a wiki near you. IMOP in an MMO devs should not put high value stuff in easily locatable, fixed places as people will grind those places - but, for some reason, it is a common developer mistake not to take account of the fact that players soon work out were to go to get rich.

Well that explains that then.

Rares spawn every 10-15 minutes up to the max amount of that station. Somewhere it's 1, somewhere 20. You can find the list easily. Then they will never spawn again for you until you sell what you got.
