This is really the only game-centric forum I read/post on but... I would imagine this is common practice for game developers? I would assume that most developers would prefer to "under-promise and over-deliver." And the best way to do that is to stay tight-lipped until you know for sure what is or isn't feasible. Ad I'd guess Frontier is still sorting that out as far as some of the additonal features the community is wanting are concerned.
It would be a lot to respond to every suggestions that comes in, and if they replied to a few they would get called out for "being selective." They definitely seem to be addressing/acknowledging some of the issues/feedback rather than the overall suggestions for new game features, animals, etc. that come in. Which makes sense, given where we are since launch (6 business days).
But I'm sure they track the suggestions. They added a whole new game mode based on beta feedback, after all. And they're the ones that set-up that initial "Wishlist" forum, no? It wouldn't make sense to put something like that into play and then just throw it out.
Once the game starts to stabilize, people figure out the game, and they sort out some of the initial bugs/glitches, then it'll probably be time to start talking about some of the other suggestions people have. But again, I'm sure somebody is tracking it all. I'm just not sure what they would be able to say about suggested features at this point that wouldn't bum people out in the end (unless they can flat-out say "we can't do that, sorry" which isn't very satisfying either).
