do the seats ever change?

i know this is beta and all, but i upgraded to a hauler from a sidewinder. and i looked around the cockpit and looked down on the pilots body and saw that my seat that has the joystick, and throttle on it with all those blue buttons is the same exact seat setup as the sidewinder. so i was wondering if they are going to keep it like that or not?
surely someone has mentioned this before right?

I mentioned it before, but didn't get any responses...

I'd love to see a lot more variety in the cockpits (both in terms of the physical elements such as the chairs and also the HUDs, colours etc.). Totally understand that the game's currently WIP/beta, but would be nice to know if anything's planned in this regard for future updates.

Hopefully we'll be able to fully customise the interiors in future, fingers crossed.

The chairs are probably a standardized component that is going to be the same across all ships. According to this concept art they will also funtion as "escape pods".

Maybe there will be more variations further down the line, but I highly doubt we'll see this in the first release. Also since these variations will be "cosmetics" with no real gameplay benefit they might save this for optional micro transactions if you want that authentic leather seat. ;)

i'm sure we would, this team is very talented so i don't doubt this was on purpose lol

ahhhhh well that makes perfect sense, standardization of a seat makes perfect sense and does fit into a realism into space.

with so much advanced tech and many different worlds tech should be standardized to a point of rational, or we get what we have now with all these different kinds of outlets through our the world. things like this and other examples that come to mind does create it's own problems.

thanks for knowing everything again bro.

The only visual difference between ships is how well you can see. All huds are the same because it's easy and we're meant to believe that these competing companies use the exact same design and all ships use the exact same control systems.
