Do the Ships have Thrusters and a Newtonian Flight Model?

Do the ships in Elite have thrusters with physics instead of the thrusts coming from somewhere else inside the ship?

Does each ship have different flight controls based on the mass and shape?

Is there a Newtonian flight model?

Yes, but there's no Newtonian combat. I'd recommend you read the threads here

I spent half a day reading through those topics and I didn't have too many questions left after that. It's a lot of interesting reading, too.

Unless, of course, you really want Newtonian combat and are now not going to get the game
