Do the Thargoid Flowers only interdict those that have wronged them?

I have never shot up baby Barnicles, molested Unknown Artifacts or allowed myself to be probed by an Unkown Probe. Nor have I bought any Meta Alloys or other stolen Thargoid or Guardian precious objects.

Does that make me a neutral in repect to the Thargoid / Guardians and therefore free from hyperspace-interdiction?

In the contrary!

All of us others failed and were rejected.

You, on the other hand, will be taken with them to their wonderfull flower planet where you will experience happieness and wellbeing for thousands of years if not all eternity!

Wow.. that's something to look forward to.

im still waiting to meet one :( i keep thinking i must be playing a diffrent game.
i havent gone looking waiting till they find me

Would be nice to think that ANY commander that has shot at Thargoid will now be treated as hostile.
Also that FD make them something to be feared.
As Elite is no longer Dangerous, unless is PvP.

I'd like for the Thargoids to at least defend themselves against the idiots out there, but as far as making the Thargoids feared like in the old days, I honestly don't think FDev can get away with that sort of thing anymore.

In olden times (the '80s) you could have unbeatable enemies who slaughter you after a random unavoidable encounter because back then, just having a computer game was a novelty (like electric lights and indoor plumbing). Nowadays, you'd have 3/4 of the player-base leave overnight if you pulled a stunt like that. No one wants a no-win scenario. Therefore, for gameplay reasons, the Thargoids will have to actually be beatable if they are made to be our enemy.

You only think you've never been given the alien probe because they wiped your memory.

No one is safe [alien]

I don't think so, people can always just run, same as anyone who wouldn't dare turn to fight an aggressor in their current ship. Might be an issue if they can easily destroy you before you even have a chance to run, but it can be balanced to be an undefeatable encounter without it meaning sure destruction.

But then it becomes a challenge that can never be overcome, rather than something you have to work for in order to defeat. It would be hard for them to get gameplay value out of an encounter where your only option is to retreat.

Well, with people asking for things like space legs asap, which asap means it would probably only offer walking around your ship and nothing more, I'm not so certain we're all about game play value in the first place. Though that's beside the point I guess, you're right because I want game play value as well. They could very well be unbeatable for a certain amount of time though if you consider how we weren't able to do much about UA bombing at first, but over time it's becoming less and less an issue with the lore now generating a factions effort to stop it. Then there's theories going around with the whole Formidine Rift business and the Alien Flora pointing toward weapons aimed at defeating the Thargoids (all just theories of course). They COULD make it so we need to earn something to overcome them when needed.

Then again, what am I saying, probably being over optimistic... which is way out of my character here.

You could have a point there. Maybe make them only vulnerable to some specific kind of weaponry or ammunition that needs to be developed via a CG of some kind. Maybe meta-alloy tipped multicannon rounds or something like that. There could be a whole series of CGs that make the Thargoids a defeat-able enemy, after a couple weeks ore even a month or two of them being invulnerable while attacking commanders. That's assuming of course that they do turn out to be hostile. If they turn out to be friendly then all bets are off.

My interdiction.
