Do we have a ''plan B'' ?

Ok, the kickstart is running now... updates comes often as i see...

i don't wanna say ''it's going bad'' or ''it's going well''

i would simply know:

what if Frontier Development doesn't reach the kickstart quota ?

there is a ''PLAN B'' ?

i am asking this because i don't really wanna this project fail,
at any costs !

Please ! don't let this 'Elite Dangerous' die and let us wait another 10 years for a new try.

Its not over yet. There will be a mad dash towards the end so we just need some incentives. Spaceship equivalents of tinted glass and alloy wheels or whatever it takes to squeeze a few more pounds out of people. Plenty of good suggestions on these forums.

I'm likely to be one of those mad dashers at the end. I hope there are a lot more of them like me floating around out there, because it's looking tight. I'm also considering making a substantial pledge (> the "founder" level).

I want a spoiler on my ship! And flames on the wings!

I'm also holding back pledge money until nearer the end. Hopefully those £90 tiers will pick up in the coming days.

If the 16,301 backers so far were able to throw in another £30 each, we'd beat the target no problem.

I'm pretty confident about it, but that is no reason to rest on our laurels. lets not think plan B, lets think how can we ensure plan A works?

spread the word, spread the word about the writers pack novels.

I'm a backer of Star Citizen and wouldn't have even known about backing E:D if Chris @ Cloud Imperium Games hadn't sent out his email.

Think given the avg age of "Elite" player's we're all familiar with Dad's army :D

Could E: D be the big game with the highest avg age of players out there, due to our 1980's start in computer gaming.:eek:

Yep, I'd say quite a few of us would qualify to be in Dad's Army now :)

That's good to hear...I thought it was just me!!:smilie:(looks for Smilie of old wizened face). Maybe that's why the forum has always been so knowledgable and good-natured (and PATIENT) over the years.

On the Plan B, although the will be a spike from those of us who have already pledged increasing, it has been looking for a while as though we will not quite get over the line, sadly. I hope that DB has his initial big backers lined up to come to the recue, or maybe even look in his own wallet. Kickstarter has shown there is an interest out there, and it would be tragic to let this dream go, but in the end I think it will come down to DB's committment.

It's going to be a nail-biting couple of weeks!

Go have a look at GODUS kickstarter, last weekend it looked like it was dead with still over 100K to go.
Today they only need 25,000 to hit there target and they still have 53 hours to get it.

Your right about that :) I am still very confident we will hit the target.

I guess my plan B was for DB to have his meal with the 5K backers a little early and get them all very, very drunk.....

Didn't think proposer could donate to their own fund through KS.

I suppose David could give me 5k to donate on his behalf.... And I'll pledge 4.5k (why pledge 5k when all the dinners are taken;))

Wonder what FD or David would offer somone (like me) who is wealthy enough (not like me :p), if they were to ask.... "what very unique option will you give me if i pledge £10k along with all of the above, obviously except the meal for 5?"
