DO we need to back up and restore our binds if we where in the beta?

In preparation for the update tomorrow. I'll be back up my binds as standard, and digging out the 'no dust streaks' mod. But if we set up our binds in the beta, will we have to either manually reset up all the new binds, or drop in our saved off binds, or will binds from the beta work right off the bat?

Anyone have any ideas?

Beta shares the same bindings as live. Personally I haven't touched the options menu in Live since beta completed, so all my bindings will carry across. No harm in backing up though (as long as you didn't change anything in live)

I copied and saved under a new name (then archived) the bindings from beta before returning to live play, just in case, as I'd modified the beta bindings to suit me.

The official standpoint is "yep just to be safe than sorry."

You can follow these instructions.

https://support.frontier.co.uk/kb/faq.php?id=424

Before major patches, we always advise making a backup your current game settings, especially if you have extensive key binds.

The best way to do this is by copying the Frontier Developments folder and storing it in a safe location. We also advise renaming the folder so that it is clear that it is a backup.

You can duplicate this folder by holding down the "Ctrl" key and dragging the folder to the same directory or a specific back up location.

You can locate the Frontier Developments folder here: C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Local\

Just drop the location link into your file explorers search bar as shown below. "%USERNAME%" is a wildcard to account for usernames not being the same.
