No, but I presume that it will be as hopefully they will also get rid of some of the exploits as well.
With an influx of players it'll be a pretty much dead cert.
Equal starting for all would be wise. Early adopters have the advantage of already knowing how to play

Each to their own and all that, but, are you not worried about seeing too much of the game in advance?
I would suggest NOT having too much money is a good thing, you dont want to unwrap all the games secrets before it has even launched do you?
Of course there is an argument to be made that someone needs to balance all the high end ships I suppose.
