General / Off-Topic Do you ever think that if...

That when technology becomes so dominant in the future that we depend on technology for just about everything, a physical malfunction would cause a massive chain reaction because we were foolish enough to believe that physically repairing technology by hand was never necessary again?

Iv'e started to see a slight portion of that already happen. I feel sad for my other classmate who is a geek in technology--as some time ago it was obvious that his secondary drive (not the main hard drive, his computer has a recovery software that continues the startup procedure and warns him that an auxiliary hard drive has failed) had been physically damaged and he thought that simply using PowerShell and command prompt would fix a physically busted SSD (which obviously didn't afterwards)... I mean, come on! You could even see the damage from the outside.

And this isn't the only time something has ever happened like that around the world. For sure, the future is scary.

That day has long past I'm afraid.

Several thousand years ago.
