Do you ever wish that the game would give heat info for all modules, not just guns?

I understand that FD doesn't want to turn the game into a "numbers game", even though that's the basis for the beloved theory crafting.

But If I want to know if A6 thrusters generate more or less heat than C6 or D6 thrusters, I'm totally out of luck.

We know that an A rated power plant will generate less heat than a D rated power plant (easy to test that its true in a T7, which is so poorly engineered that it will overheat on every jump until you A-rate the power plant.

But it sure isn't stated anywhere official that I've seen, and all the other modules are just a big blank...

Yet it is imperative to build your ship for low heat - to be able to use bigger guns without overheating in 20 seconds...

Heat is generally related to the % of total power a module uses
So modules with that use less power are cooler than ones that use more.

A higher rated power plant with the same modules as a lower rated power plant will be running at a lower % total and thus overall cooler.

Thanks. Still not sure if an A rated thruster will generate more heat than a B or D rated one... or if it only depends on total power draw for anything except a power plant?

Yes, the in game tools must be made to list the 'numbers game' since FD still plans to hit us with a module re-sale charge.
Heat generation, firing time, power management, etc.

Heat is oddly actually related to flat MW used, not percent causality utilized. An A6 powerplant and an A7 powerplant week leave a ship at the same heat, if given the same flat MW load, even though the A7 will be using less of its capacity.
