Do you go to detention centre if killed in your SRV? Or back to ship?

If I land and dismiss my ship in order to carry out a "power down the settlement power grid" mission, what happens is my SRV is destroyed after I have gained a fine and a bounty for invading the base?

My ship (which I assume is "guilty of the crime" and become a hot ship) is nowhere near, being dismissed.

So would being killed in the SRV put me back into my ship, in orbit?

Or would I wind up in jail and need to buy myself and the ship out?

Asking before I do another mission...

I'd be very surprised if you didn't spawn back in your ship, since that's the way it has always worked bounty or no bounty. When your SRV gets blown up it doesn't send you to a rebuy screen so I don't think it interacts with the C&P system at all.

So would I now have a "hot ship" even though, since it had been dismissed, it was nowhere near the scan site when I did the "crime"? How is that possible - it seems crimes are still tied to the CMDR and not the ship?

How do I clear the bounty?

Yes, your bounty makes your ship "hot". Interstellar Factors in Low Security systems will allow you to pay it off. Look for Low Security in the Gal Map and find a system to land at. If you look at the system information (with all the planets on) you will see what each space port offers.
