I got around to trying out the new dinos in the pack and I love them so far, Segisaurus is surprisingly one of my favorites now due to how you could have it always available as one of your starting dinosaurs when attempting a new park in Challenge / Sandbox mode.
One thing I did notice is that both Segisaurus and Microceratus could not be controlled with Ranger Commands. Like the Lystrosaurus, they dislike being commanded by the ranger vehicle and would ignore any command directed at them. And I am somewhat mixed about it.
On one hand, I like how they are stubborn as we do not have many dinosaurs that are scavengers or herbivorous that do not like being told what to do by humans. Segisaurus specifically benefits from this as it allows it to be different from other scavengers, which makes sense as a later scavengers unlocked via research allows for ranger commands to be accepted, something the Segisaurus lacks as a default dinosaur. It makes it a nice balance.
On the other hand, having to tranquilize and move so many of these little guys gets tedious real fast. I often do this layout where my enclosures are close to the incubation lab so that I could transport my dinosaurs over via the ranger team. With tiny guys like Segisaurus and Microceratus, I would incubate 20 of them as a large batch and then transfer them via the ranger vehicle as they are rather fast for their size and it is much quicker transporting them over in a few ranger commands than using the helicopter to transport 5 at a time to an enclosure nearby.
What do you guys think?
