Do you need any other deer species?

Since we already have Reindeer, Moose and Fallow deer. Do you need any other deer species?

Personally I don’t care that much about the red deer since it’s just not a zoo animal for me but I would really like to see some small Asiatic species like Indian muntjac or Tufted deer to pair with the red panda or takin in the future.

(Edit) But the species I would personally like to see for the most is Père David’s deer. They are partially aquatic creatures with an amazing conservation history and behaviors and are one of the few species that are extinct in the wild and saved by man and zoo’s. I just love when they “dress up” their antlers for the “ladies”. Please @frontier bring them to the game one day.

I'd be down with the elk! I saw them at The North Carolina Zoo recently and they're much larger and more impressive than I thought they were, looking impressive next to the bison in the same exhibit!

Either a muntjac or a more basic Asian deer: Chital or Sika. I'm honestly not that driven to have deers though, as I don't see them often in zoos.

Just kidding, I'm biased because they are one of the groups I study. Pere David's deer is a great shout, and I also think one of the smaller species (either Asiatic or South American) would be a nice contrast to the ones we have in the game at the moment. The red deer would be interesting, largely because there is so much variation and I wonder what they would choose for the model.

Personally, I'd be partial to either the water deer or one of the Axis species, but I'll never say no to more deer anyway!

I'd love to see the Roosevelt Elk, or just a general Elk species. The deer representation we have right now is good, but I feel like the Elk would be a great fourth choice. It's also the second most wanted deer species on the meta wishlist, with only the Red Deer being higher.

A muntjac or a pudu would be cool because they are very different from what we have right now. However, I don't really want more deer. I prefer to get more antelopes. There are still so many I would like to get... (Just my biased personal opinion of course).

Deer are a pretty diverse group of animals and I’d love to see a few more that are at the extreme ends of their physical diversity. For example, a really small species like a Muntjac, Musk Deer, or Pudu would be my top priority. Another species with a more unique body-plan is the Pere David’s Deer. Additionally, it has an interesting conservation story and would be our first Asian deer.

Also, though technically not a member of the deer family, a chevrotain would be such an awesome inclusion into PZ. They’re actually in a family all-their-own and are the world’s smallest hooved animal. The smallest species, the Lesser Mouse Deer, would be my top pick.

The North American Elk would be my only "must".
However, at least one Asiatic deer species would be great, along with a South American one. I really would be fine with 4-5 more deer species.

We're at the point where PZ has great bear, canine, big cat and crocodilian representation. I'd be fine if we only got 1 or 2 more reps for these categories.
The animal types I'd like to see get some more love in the future are hogs, small cats, wading/diving birds, deer and other ungulates in general, and small-ish mammals(Raccoon/Porcupine for size example).

I would like so many deer, especially old world deer as they are perfect for the kind of zoos I like to build.

From a diversity in the game point of view I think a pudu would be appropriate and some kind of tropical Asia deer like axis deer would be useful.

Potentially too similar to fallow deer for some but I would love red deer - the Bukharan deer is beautiful - and sika deer.

I would also appreciate a Eurasian elk (moose) as their antlers are less dramatic than the North American moose we have now.

There are 2 more essential deer imo, those being the red deer and the muntjak.
Muntjak is self explanatory, its a small ungulate from asia, aka the one place where we dont really have any while having pretty much everything else.
With the red deer you might be forgiven to think that its just another european deer, but it in fact is the european deer and honestly animal.
Besides being beautiful and quite distinct to all other deer we have in the game, they are also essential for european collections and amongst the most common animals in the EAZA. Being the largest common european animal they not only had a massive impact on our culture, but also fill a currently big gap in the european roster, being one of the 3 remaining essential Wildpark animals, the other two being wild boar and mr worldwide.
So yeah, very distinct and different, beautiful, a zoo essential for europe and just a great animal in general?
Yeah sign me the hell up

Red Deer are definitely the most important Deer to be added to the Game. Would absolutely love them. Also imagine hearing their awesome Calls in the Game

Red Fox is definitely needed. I really want them for my japanese Zoo but also for my Wildpark.
If we should ever get a Update that allows Guests to feed Animals, we definitely need to get Vending Machines with Deer Crackers and other Food. Would be so nice to see the Guests feeding Deer in a Walk through Enclosure

I would love that.
Many wildparks i know also allow carrots and apples to be brought and fed to the animals and we allready have the mechanic that guests throw hotdogs and other junk into animal enclosures, so making it legal to throw carrots and buyable food shouldnt be that hard, as it could use the same system.
