Do you need to bring the jeep back to the garage?

I started playing during my lunch break and was wondering if u can leave ur jeep just in the middle of nowhere or do u have to drive it back manually to the ranger station.
Because if u leave ACU heli, it goes automatically to tis base.

Seems to go back on it's own after a little bit

Not needed, when you stop driving after a couple of seconds it will return to the Ranger station.

I found that out while I was playing last night/this morning. If you leave it unattended it will drive back on it's own. Of course I drove it back a couple of times before I found this out.
