Could just be a rough day and came across a few more than usually. But seems "pulling the plug" is becoming more common in open play. Anyone notice this? Like I said, could just be a bad day.

100% of pilots i intercepted with Palladium did at some point pull the plug yesterday.
One guy even did it 4 times in a row. He probably tries for Elite status...

I'm in it for the adventure, I don't have a set "goal" or "end-content" to reach. Getting blown up isn't a setback, it's just another challenge. Maybe it's the excuse I needed to get out from under a sunk-cost fallacy and try something different!

When you focus too much on the destination in a game like Elite, you lose all the fun of the journey. Getting sploded is part of the trip.

i will only pull the internet cable when i can't pay my insurance, i am immediately fired upon after being interdicted (don't just shoot, tell my why you ripped me from super cruise. i will pull the plug just to spite you. -_-), or if i can't fight (network issues, slow internet makes fighting a bit unfair and sometimes impossible.)
when its not either of those three, ill end up trying to fight the interaction, bost/super cruise away, or light up the poor SoB who thought interdicting me was a good idea. =P

There are tons of topics here about griefing and ramming, but I think that the ones who disconnect because they start to lose the fight are worst by far !

If you can't stand other players that hunt you down and kill you, the insurance, or other OpenPlay interactions in general, stop complaining because :

Can't believe we need a poll on this, even more baffled by people voting yes.
Oldest exploit in the multiplayer book, should be the first thing you disallow.

I'm a SOLO player. I'm not ashamed to say that when I should play OPEN and I'm collecting commods found (and I'm clean) and some cmdr decides he needs target practise while scoping I WILL pull the plug. BUT I thought there was a 15 seconds cool down implemented in ED?

Nah. Never. If someone gets my stuff or kills me, more power to them.

Actually, that's not true. I did once, because my cat woke up when I was happily exclaiming that I was being interdicted, and she decided to get off the computer and see what the fuss was about. As she did so, she stepped on the reset button (which is on top of my case for no reason.)

So one time I did. But I didn't want to.

voted no but live my life in solo... did this a few times when nice friendly police interdictions were replaced by nasty pirates and these were happening very frequently and i didnt know what else to do. then i learned how to play the blue circle game or run away... so no longer an issue

My T6 was interdicted by an Asp last night, I think I'd let a couple of trespass fines expire and turn into bounties. After an epic interdiction struggle I eventually lost and he gunned me down, I exploded, and then got an error connecting to transaction server. When I logged back in, I was intact in the same system with my bounties still in place, so I guess he didn't get his payday but I don't know. He probably thinks I'm a filthy quitscum.
