Do you still roll for .x% increases on G5?

Title, basically. Does anyone know if it was still a thing in beta 3? (Rolling for .2-.5% increases, that is)

At my last stop at the Beta Engineers, yes. Your individual rolls have a chance to gain a large percentage of the total max, or a small percentage. But, they always improve.

Lol, okay. A .1% total increase isn’t worth much aside from possible OCD though, so I was wondering if they’d addressed that

They have, in that the ranges of improvement are part of the design. You still get a chance at a large movement, so it's take your chances, or stay where you are.

I assume you mean "improve over your last applied modification"?

Yes, each additional roll, is certain to improve your stats, by how much is the question. Especially at the higher grade levels, the movements can be quite small.

Even at higher levels? It wasn’t that uncommon to roll 8+ times for the last 5 percent, half of which in the last 1-2%.

True, I guess. Well at least I can see that as a possibility. The few Mods I took that far, needed about 8 to 10 attempts, overall, to max out g5. One trend I did notice was, that the initial roll for each tier seemed to give the most improvement in one shot, then it got to be more, small. incremental changes as you near the top.
