Possible but also doubtful when they just made a change to have the remaining Titans send systems straight to the invasion state (even with the exact modalities - namely, "How many", alongside the populated alerts - not known for yet), so... wouldn't expect it.
I myself would, from a pure player perspective, also expect them to go through on the - relatively strong - implication there will end up being 8 (incremental) decals for 8 Titans killed.

We may have to "chase" Titan #8 as it tries to make a desperate escape to the COL 70 Sector where we cannot follow.
Or, maybe we'll just blow up all 8 of them and have the Thargoids send a peace envoy to us begging us not to invade the COL 70 Sector once it opens up because we won.

Guess-prediction from me: we'll destroy all 8 titans, but then another one will set up shop in the Pleiades or Witchhead, to join in permanently with PP2.
I don't think anything we've seen so far conclusively indicates that there will only ever be 8 Titans. I predict that we will blow up all of the ones we've named so far, only for the Thargoids to be like "surprise, you stupid smelly apes! We've got loads more where those came from!".

Or we find out that these were scout variant titans and the next wave are eight times larger and tougher.
I thought they might just be some kind of advanced seed pods seeding planets with thargoid life forms, and not really combat crafts.

I certainly doubt everything will just "reset" magically when it arrives, and (the remaining) Titans would make a good excuse for why things are. Frontier like their lore reasonings behind stuff, anyway ...
