Do you think it's possible to build this coaster?

I've lived in Long Beach for a long time, and a lot of places here have photos and murals of the old Cyclone Racer, a dueling wooden coaster that used to hang half way out over the ocean here from 1930 to 1968.

I've always wondered what it would've been like to ride, and one of the first things I wanted to do with Planet Coaster was to build an exact as possible recreation based on this model: http://www.rollercoastermodels.com/cycloneracer.html

When the game first came out this was just not possible. But now that we can disable collision I think I might be doable as two wooden coasters? What do you guys think? I haven't had a lot of time to tackle this project but the summer is typically less busy for me.

EDIT: Another helpful resource for reconstructing the Cyclone Racer: http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=1689988

I wonder if the game physics model and then especially the friction would allow this. Generally people have learned that recreating especially wooden coasters cant be quite... tricky to impossible sometimes

Probably not. The coasters in this game, the wooden one especially, lose their momentum too fast compared to real life.

Currently only with using the cheat for less friction otherwise the really old classic wooden coasters are not possible, plus can't change the wooden coasters track or support colours (hopefully that will change in future)

The problem with the cheats is that they decrease the friction way too much, making it indeed possible for the coaster to finish the entire layout, but at ridiculously high speeds.

I really hope the next update gives us a friction and weight slider. [up]

Yeah a slider is really needed for each coaster, though for now all you can do is use the friction cheat and place brakes in various places to control the speed. But it's not a realistic option using the cheat with various other coasters in the same park also.

A friction slider or variable/modifier would be a welcome addition. Not all coasters have the same friction value because not all of them, even in the same model line, use the same parts. I know I've been on some Arrow coasters that had significantly different wheels.

Yup, things like wheels matter a lot. Also the weight of the cars and weather conditions, paint, etc.

If I have time I will try to repulcate, I got really close with six flags great america's American eagle racers... not exact but with some tweaking it is darn close...
