Do you think that Lakon should release a Type 8?

The Type-7 and the Python have A LOT in common if one is into trading and especially mining. Still the Python is the medium pad go to ship in the game and short of combat can get the job done at an entry level of 100 million credits. The separation between a Type-6 to a Type-7 is appropriate, balances the game well and requires the player to think out of the box versus just another upgrade. A Type-8 isn't the issue. A Gutamaya (Imperial Fighter, Eagle, Courier, Clipper, Cutter) medium pad ship to balance with the Python is what is needed. Still Gutamaya doesn't sell their offerings cheap! :)

I would like the type 8 being a battle variant of the type 9. Bigger hard points. Better utility point placement. SLF capable. Bigger pd.

To be honest I like how the lakons look more than the pointy trapezoids.

Lakon designers got it all wrong. They are looking at haulers with the T series and should have realised that cargo space and opportunity to trade are the main goal.

They should have built a ship that just about fits into each hanger to maximise cargo capacity. Without that everyone looks to the multi-roles and sees that better handing, defence and attack is worth dropping a little cargo.

There are grounds for a cheaper haulage ship as an entry level jump in point on each pad but money makers should maximise trade.

Like many I fly a Python or Conda for trade (no cutter yet). I enjoy flying Lakon ships but the Python wins every time if trading at outposts, while the Conda is not only quicker in and out of stations, but makes every NPC pirate a bonus payment.

I still pull out the T7 for mining, fly the T9 occasionally just because I enjoy the Space Cow and use a Keelback for pottering about, but if I'm after a goal at grinding the Python and Conda win for me.

Missed opportunity by Lakon although you never know, with the Keelback conversion of the T6 we may get a T7 variant slightly cut down in height and made wider to fit on a medium pad and a T10 to fill up a large pad.

If the internals of the T7 are set and can't be altered, where did they find the room for the extra cargo capacity when they buffed it?
They obviously just changed a few numbers. I really don't see why they can't shorten it half a meter.

The T7 is the only ship that I've lost the interdiction mini game to (NPC pilot).
I was in a FAS. I couldn't believe it.
In fact, I still can't believe it.
