Real World Theme Parks Do you think you can handle this new Alton Towers' ride?

there was no accident on Nemesis Galactica opened in March had mixed reviews, sub terror has been closed for a while there was a incident with that AT have closed some rides for the season due to refurbishment and removal of rides to get ready for the new roller coaster

When I was a kid like 15-20 years ago, there was this place near my house called FunScape. They had a virtual reality roller coaster and for its time it was absolutely amazing. It wasn't a headset, it was a full enclosure boxcar that 2 people could sit in. Riders had to be strapped in as the entire enclosure could spin around. Inside in front of where you sit were 3 large screens displaying the track in front of you. It was sort of like when you go to the movies and you ride the roller coaster through bursting pop corn and drinks and stuff (not sure if all theaters have that but mine do). I don't remember if it was 3D but it felt very real as the boxcar would spin around accordingly to the track that was displayed on screen, literally flipping completely upside down and barrel rolling. The tracks could even be switched so every ride was different. Really mind blowing stuff for the time and I'm surprised I never saw more stuff like it or that it wasn't more popular.

A modern version of this would be fantastic, using latest projection mapping tech for the screens. IMHO better than VR headsets in terms of comfort. I'm not a fan of strapping a headset to my face with bright screens shining 2cm away from my eyes! I got motion sick too easily on Oculus. Sold my DK2 on ebay.
