You can't have gameplay with inventory-heavy content like the Engineers without storage of some sort. So yeah, I want it.

We already got Ship storage, so why not module/commodity storage. This would make switching ship but keeping modules easy too instead of selling and buying back.

Sorry guys, The way the site works, it makes you create the thread first and after it is posted you can then add the poll so it seems there will always be a delay

Great idea, maybe even charge a nominal station fee for the storage. Less interdictions if your not hauling cargo for an engineer.

before engineers i was "ok" with not having storage for stuff, but now with engineers now receiving items for upgrades from missions as rewards that take up cargo space this is really a must have. in all honesty this should have been the point where stations storage should have been added and i was surprised that it was not.

No need, we are not charged to store 20 anacondas in the station, why charge for some crates of beer?

I just checked and currently have ~ 60 mil tied up in weapon storage, which is exactly why I can't keep my python and corvette outfitted at the same time :p

The game also just stalled while changing between ships, which means i've either lost a modded beam laser or an advanced plasma, neither of which I am very happy about.

Edit: still there on relog, phew :p

I really cannot understand who thought that the Engineers expansion could possibly have been acceptable to the players without some form of storage - the mind boggles???

That's pretty much my view. I was fine with not having storage pre 2.1 and could even go along with FDevs reasons for not having it, but engineers changes everything. Now we have stuff that can't be bought in the normal markets that we might want to use at some unspecified point in the future (maybe waiting for another component/ data item) that we have to lug around with us and risk losing it. I would suggest that either we get storage for those commodities or they get added to the normal markets so we can buy them when we need them.

I think an important candidate for storage as-well is Materials !

If in exchange we have to reduce our ship storage back to 300 I'd be fine with that. Even if it's to only store 200 materials per engineer.

I'd quite like a market for materials even if it wasn't player controlled so that you would have the option of selling surplus materials instead of just discarding them and perhaps even buying stuff for those that are in a hurry.
