I used to look regularly not to compare to SC, but to see the impact of each update. I was fascinated to see when the tipping point would be reached. It also forced me to go on the frontier elite dangerous page, since its gone I haven't looked as often so traffic is reduced.

Although I think it's interesting to know how many people have backed/pre-ordered ED, I also think it's none of our business, and is information that we have no right to know.

Since FD is now a listed company, surely this information will become available when they submit their accounts, and as result shouldn't be realtime information.
The game is funded and that's all that really matters, it's not like there are any more stretch goals now.

Would I like to see it? Yes
Should they show it? No

I've always been a statistic nut but information doesn't need to be released if they don't want to, I personally voted yes

I am very interested in knowing the number of backers at different levels. Just because I care a lot about the game and I get a warm fuzzy feeling looking at numbers of other people who like it enough to buy in.
I can cope with not knowing though.

Sorry to not "give you guy's your due" but seriously, get off FD's back. If you gave a lot of money to them, then thank you. Just stop pressuring them to devote even more manpower to public accounting.

I am 100% sure that your guys' role in the kickstarter was to show that there was still an interest in Elite IV. I am also sure that you guys' want to feel above the Star Citizen vs Elite debate. So don't make FD pull an RSI.

Read Newsletter 28 yet? Your golden kickstarter backer graph of money is in it. It's on the new station. If you look really closely you will see it.

To be honest I think one of the great things they did not so long ago was remove the ticking total of how much money was raised from the website. It might be nice to have an update every three months or so on how many people are playing the game regulary but thats about it.;)
