I'm posting this here as its only with Elite and the DK2 that I am getting this message, question being is anyone else?

I have disabled windows troubleshooting and I am using a specific profile in Windows system Performance tab and still this persists. Usually this message blasts up whilst I am in doing something critical like docking or in the middle of a dogfight, quite alarming having the DK2 white out as the focus switches to desktop and this "error" msg.

That sounds like the message to disable the Aero theme on windows 7.

Using Aero does all the fancy glass transparency effects on your windows and such. Prior to updating to Win 10, when I ran OBS I would disable Aero to try to irk out every bit of performance possible.

When Windows sees that Aero is on, and then you have something graphically demanding it might throw up this warning to allow you to disable it and get more performance. Try it, it might work better, just be aware that the non-aero themes is this kinda light blue color by default so it might be a bit jarring the first time you see it

Was popping out to me with WIN7, just choose the last option. I don't know why, but disabling aero you will get load of judder.

I wrote something somewhere but I can't find the topic.

Just re-read the OP. I don't get that warning during gameplay. It usually pops up when I exit the game, or sometimes when I alt-tab out.
