the T8 carries 384
52,000 / 384 = 135

so not 250. i'm closer than i think

Then pick up the mats at a station. Or do something else in the game for a bit. You weren't born as a mindless cargo drone. You're free to dp something else.

Can we get a video of this, because while i don't want to say you're lying, it definitely sounds like you're being very hyperbolic, which doesn't help in situations where people are trying to help you.

I've never had to relog to get a landing pad anywhere. On occasion, i have chosen to relog rather than wait a minute, although a relog can take almost as long as waiting if the servers are slow.

no i'm not making a video for this lol.
i fly to the outpost station that i built that is selling steel and titanium which i need (medium pad)
in my T 8 (medium ship)
i request docking and it says docking request denied.
if i try over and over eventually it is granted.
or if i relog usually it works. sometimes not right away.

about 1 out of 5 i fly to the outpost and get granted docking on the first try

I feel for you. I can confirm this is an actual thing.
Unfortunately, as others have said you have 2 options. Wait for about 30seconds to a minute for the NPC to depart, or relog.
How far out of the bubble are you? Are there no other stations nearby to use your T9?

it's a ways out not too far. i will make due, just adds time with the docking thing.
i'm transporting steel and titanium from Pak Beacon to finish the T3 planetary station "Fujijukogyo Seirensho" which means
Fuji Heavy Industries Refinery to hopefully be a good CMM source

This. Even in solo mode, you may occasionally have to wait a minute or two if an NPC is docked. In any other mode, you're going to also have to deal with other player traffic. Not worth it.
