Docking Assist?

I'm legally blind, but I have enough vision to play Elite: Dangerous for the most part. The biggest areas where I have trouble are combat and docking. Combat can be avoided if I'm careful, but docking is a major pain for me. I wish there was a "Dock Assist that made the docking process more forgiving without docking automatically. This would also help players who are simly new to the game and haven't gotten used to docking yet. As for toggling it on or off, it could be done on PS4 for example by holding Triangle and clicking L3.

i agree with this. Would have helped me out a lot the first few (hundred) times. :D

As of right now, our only options are using a docking computer or complete manual docking (you can turn Flight Assist and Rotational Correction off if manual is too easy though). To put it another way, we have the option of getting pulled around in a wagon or riding a bicycle (or a unicycle while juggling chainsaws if you turn off FA and RC), but we don't have the option of using any kind of training wheels for the bicycle. Try learning to ride a bicycle without ever using training wheels. It is doable, but it would be much easier (and probably less painful) if you had those training wheels.

Love your username by the way.
