Engineers Docking chatter - anyone heard today?

Not sure if I somehow accidentally disabled this via some setting I can't seem to find, or if something changed today.

got used to and liked the docking chatter in 2.1 or whenever they added that. Today, I hear station chatter inside stations, but when making dock request I no longer head any chatter.

looked in audio but didn't see any setting. Anyone know if this is a setting we can enable / disable, and if so, where?

I tried to look for a volume slider for the traffic controller and radio chatter but I couldn't find one... I wanted to turn the volume up a little bit.

When looking for that I couldn't find anything related to the radio chatter... no volume slider, no enable/disable or mute/unmute options... nothing.

Not sure why it would stop working though... did you accidentally launch the wrong version of the game? (not sure if that even matters, but it's a common mistake that people misclick something in the Launcher and then accidentally run a different version of the game than they used before).

I don't get it at every station, I'm not sure if that's normal, but it's probably something like an 80/20 split I'd estimate, between getting chatter, and not...

I never get any welcome chatter when I go to Outposts.

At regular stations they always greet me upon arrival before I even file the request to land.

On Surface bases the large ones (circular ones) always greet me on arrival. Bit unsure if the smaller ones do though.

However, they ALL respond and stuff when I file a landing request.

Maybe it's that for me too - I didn't take account of the type of station. Although I'm pretty sure last night a Coriolis didn't give any chatter. You're right about post-docking request though, they seem to always respond after that.

Hmm, maybe it is hit or miss, or by design not intended for chatter at all stations.

i was mostly out beyond the bubble today, earning local rep with stations before taking the better long range missions. And at both large Coriolis stations in two different systems as well as an outpost, zero pre docking chatter, and no chatter when I made dock request. Just inside station chatter re no speeding, etc

but I just came back inside the bubble, and first large station I docked at, got usual docking chatter pre and post making dock request.

maybe docking chatter isn't triggered outside the bubble?

Same, I think this is normal.

I tried to find the audio setting and failed as well. I ended up turning down the flight computer voice which seemed to help a little.

There is no ATC at outposts yet.
Volume is called 'non player audio/voice' or something like that in options/audio.
Sometimes the ATC gets cut off because of other sounds like your ships voice.

Some ship warnings you can turn off too.

For example the Landing Gear Warning from your ship when you approach the pad and no gear deployed.

The Traffic controller will also alert you that gear is not down, so having both ship and the controller tell you is a bit redundant.

And the Ship doesn't warn you that gear is not down if you are trying to land some random place on a planet anyhow.

I just turned it off and let the controller warn me. Seems more logical and more immersive.

Outposts do not have chatter, only major stations & ground installations do.

I can barely hear the chatter in the stations now - what happened ??? This was one of my favorite additions with engineers

I didnt see a way to change it in the sound options...
