Docking needs a buff

Since the station has a force field in it's entrance, why are you able to pass through this with your shield on?
Surely you should have to disable your shield before passing through into the station.

Adds that extra depth, and are you actually implying the station would willingly hand over it's shield phase variance frequency to a non ally?

It would make sense to block you out if you never asked for docking permission. But anything further would be an unnecessary complication to a game.

Ignoring for a moment that the station, the force field, the shields and the ships are all just sci-magic in the first place. Why would a force field that basically creates an air seal and allows a ship to pass through (because it's job is to stop gas escaping not solids (or even liquids?) not allow a ship with shields up to pass through?

I frequently turn off my shields prior to touching down. If the shields protect the ship from collisions with the station, then it should be impossible to reach the pad with them on.

Based on the number of times I've collided with something in the slot, though, there's no way I'm turning them off in there!

This reminds me of some people wanting to kill other players faster as they have nothing better to do in game.

Next you will be saying that there should not be shield in game all together so the pkers can kill you faster inside stations and outside stations.

Why not just make docking faster and leave it be.....
