Docking Problems?

Last night I saw this guys pathetic try at docking a Hauler. He's been doing this for five minutes before I actually started recording. [sentences redacted]
This persons lack of common sense made me so mad, I had to open fire.

People need to learn some time. There's also a bug that occasionally sets up the pad the wrong way which is what looked liked happened to the Hauler guy.

So I don't know what your problem is..

Yeah, I have had this bug before myself. But at least I was smart enough to turn my ship around. This guy has been attempting the same approach for FIVE minutes. Normal people try different things if one doesn't seem to work.
Since he managed to get to buy a Hauler, he should be way past the "how the heck do I dock my ship" question, don't you think?

Well, as a fellow space pilot you also could have offered your help.

Would you care to explain how I should have done that? By landing on his pad and get blown to pieces by the station? The World is not a nice place buddy. Less so, is life in space. Better get used to it.

Well it all probably worked out for the best :smilie:
The wobbly new Cmdr realised he was better off flying away and coming back for another attempt before the docking timer ran down and probably made it on his second (third, fourth??) attempt. The station security toasted you for your unprovoked attack outside the station.

Everything working as expected.

Exactly. Only that I did NOT expect being shot down by the perimeter defence of the station outside of the no fire zone. Other than that, everything was fine.

Which is probably a good thing. In fact though, I got wasted by the station. Not sure if any Viper actually fired at me.

Alright, I give you that it was funny but why get upset if it takes some longer than others to get the basics down (or whatever the cause was)?

The one thing we don't want is to drive new people away, it's not good for the game.

And since you could make out his name, I imagine it's a bit close to a forum infraction too; just has well no Vipers petrol the forums
