Docking request button bind option.

I'm on Xbox and I'd love to have an option in the button bindings for requesting docking permission rather than going to the left contacts panel and asking there.

It's just one of those QoL things that would make me happy.


Anybody else want this feature?

I fear this argument was fought and lost on the forum a long time ago. I spoke in favour, arguing that there wasn't then anything in-game to suggest anything other than an automated procedure. Others argued - as they do - that inconvenience and poor QoL were good things. FD responded by giving us their surprisingly-good STC voice-overs and that's all.

I think this one's done, old chap. :)

Maybe they've softened up! I want it too. Obviously any 3300 modern retro, quality spacecraft has a button to initiate radio contact. Because we do it all the time. Yes, I know, look-away-during-a-critical-phase-of-flight-and-select-contact-via-the-menues adds complexity and peril for not remembering, but still it is just a little stupid. :)
