Docking resets SYS-ENG-WEP settings

When I dock I do so with 4 pips in Systems and 2 in Engines. When i go to launch again the game has changed my settings to 2 pips in each of Systems, Engine and Weapons.

Is this 'working as designed'? If so, can it be changed to keep the settings I have chosen when I dock?

Pips should only change if you change a component like the power supply. Otherwise they should remain static, at least they do for me.

As Loki already said, it stays the same for me. It only changes if you buy a new power distributer. Not sure if you have to reallocate them if you buy a new power generator but it might be.

Maybe you accidently hit the reset button while in the hangar?

Agreed. My pips settings also remain unless I change the power distributor.

Yes, it's working as designed. The docking computer resets the power settings to their default. If you dock manually, they are not reset.

This peeps reset happens to me only when I was using docking computer. Well, docking computer was persuasive enough that he is not worth my heard attacks ever since beta so I am not using it and my peeps are always as I set them - no reset unless I upgrade power distributor.
