Does anyone do the 'we require these goods' missions?

I find those missions great for turning in my mined ore.
Industrial economies will always have missions demanding ore's - sometimes I'll take a mission beforehand and aim to fill it while mining.
Mostly I just look to see if any missions fit what's already in my hold that's full of ore.
I think it's about a 50% pay increase for the goods.

No mission I simply sell them the normal way, it's win win.

As a tip for those that want to get a grip which stations sell which commodities:
Screenshot thr market. Than you can comfortably search without having to write stuff down.

I've not had much luck with the "Carry my cargo for a premium" gigs. The last time I did it, the goods started out as fair game and then on arrival became classified as "Stolen." When I went to the Black Market to pawn them off, I got slapped with a system fine that I didn't learn about until I was out of the system. When I went back into the system, I was a wanted fugitive and was shot at. So, my lesson learned is not to take those kinds of missions. I do take the ones offering a premium for getting the requested cargo and have compiled a list of where those goods are most likely at a surplus in a notebook next to my computer or I do the Map, commodity thing which is what I do when traveling between sectors and when I'm exploring to get creds to buy fuel and supplies and fix stuff. Now, I have a Cobra with 32 ton capacity cargo holds, 2 Seeker Missile pods, 2 gimbled gatlin guns and a fuel scoop which is automatic unlike the "scoop" which requires way too much work to collect debris and goodies left by the clowns I wasted.

Well considering how random getting the resource is I don't think anyone does them. Might have been a waste of time of developer resources.

Heya!

Was just wondering about this, I always skip these missions, as basically I don't know where I would get those goods, and don't want to search 5 stations in order to find them (I find jumping systems, docking, checking, undocking, jumping system cycle to be a bit tedious).

I do tend to take the ones where they give me goods to bring somewhere.

Are other people doing this as well? Or is there a way in which I can 'guess' which system to go to to find a certain good?

Thanks! :)

As others have said you can see if a system supplies a commodity from the trade map routes. Bear in mind though they may still not have enough of it though!

Typically the first place i choose will be one short whereas the second will have tons of the stuff!

You really can't effectively do the "we require" type missions until you build up enough intelligence to know where you can lay your hands on the item by the type required. Unless it is also a "Goods must be stolen" in which case you will have to go prospecting at the USS market.
