And why they have a mag lock to cut?

Why... would you cut them? can't

pick them up or anything, can you get them with an SRV?

Pick them up with the SRV, they contain mats.

thats a type of cargo rack I think, you blow them up and goods drop out but sometimes not in odyssey.

Brings the even bigger disconnect in odyssey - why cant I target things on foot that the SRV can? why is there no data link from SRV/Ship to on foot HUD?

the military has working examples of that today but obviously they dont in 3300

Doesn't even have to be military, it's pretty common to be able to carry the same spatial dataset from one platform to another (office to ship/truck to handheld device and back).

Ah, thanks. That's pretty cool. Does cutting them with the arc cutter achieve anything shooting them with the SRV doesn't?

So, if I cut them do I get more when I pick them up with the SRV, or is it just, I dunno, kinda pointless to cut em? As I gotta grab em with the SRV anyway, may as well jus shoot em?

I'm not sure. I just saw stuff I could cut, so I got all excited, hopped into my Maverick suit and out of the SRV and ran to cut. I might try shooting some next time.

EDIT: One would assume that applying a blunt tool like blowing stuff up would lose some of the stuff. But who knows?

I leave them be now.
They're mats & 'cos most of them are lower end, that I'm already stocked to the max with.....so after cutting a couple open, sometimes only three from six fall out, they're no longer worth bothering with......that's how I see them.

When I cut the first side it's fine but when I cut the second side, the content of the first one disappears.
Just blast it with SRV.

Here's what you do, cut one side, and they hang on, but bring the SRV in to collect them, you basically have to ram the thing to get them, once you collect the first side, then cut the second side and they'll just fall out and you can collect them. I had an issue with one side disappearing before I was able to pick them up.
