Does anyone NOT experience lag/stutter in Supercruise?

Nope.

i5 4670 3.4GHz
NVidia GTX 770 4GB
8GB RAM
HDD (not SSD)

Not tweaks or edits.

Max graphics settings (except Supersampling at 0) @ 1680*1050 (and then notched up a couple of scales with NVidia DSR)

Most of the time I'd say that I don't experience any lag or stutter while SCing around systems. However I'm a long way from any populated systems which may affect this if the problem is caused by the USS nonsense, other ships in SC or in-system objects such as stations.

My spec FWIW: i5-4430 3Ghz, 16GB RAM, HDD, AMD Radeon HD 6670 (yes, I'm a cheapskate but this card works for me and my games)

I have two machines, one is a five year old i7 with a 660 in it, which does get the occasional stutter. The other is a newer i7 with a 680 and that one doesn't stutter at all.

Same, not getting one bit of stutter, that could be due to bein 600ly from populated systems though. No USS, no stations, no Res sites, no npc's
Just beautiful empty space with many gorgeous sites to behold.

odd this is almost my exact setup except the CPU, and it get it pretty bad when there's planets or npc's floating nearby.

NVidia GTX 780
AMD vishera fx-8350 8-core 4.2Ghz turbo
8GB Sniper RAM 1866Mhz
1TB SSD

I get a little bit in SC if I do a big and quick turn near a planet, that type of thing, and it 'feels' like textures loading in. What I have noticed is when it happens fps bounce from 120ish to 90ish then back up. Just one of them things it's not too much of a big deal and it is much better than it was.

i5 3570K @ 4.3, 780Ti (non-ref, latest WHQL drivers), 16Gb 1866 ram, OS drive (win7 *64) and Games drive are both SSDs, 3440x1440 34" monitor.

Just curious if you don't, what your system specs are, and if you've done any editing to the game's XML files to make it stop.

Rather than concentrating on just the machine specs, could this be caused by a laggy network connection? I think overall connection speed is not the problem, but to do with how quickly the network packets get to/from FD servers and other player machines?

No lag no stutter on my main machine:
i7-4790
Zotac GTX980 Amp!
16GB RAM
840 Evo SSD Win7 x64 Pro, WD Black HDD Game

I have a lot of freezing and stuttering in SC, expecially in the first 30 minutes of gameplay. Then it seems to work way better (but stutters are still randomly there).

My machine specs are not so good anyway:

Intel Core Qad Q8300 @2.50Ghz
4 Gb RAM
GeForce GTX750 2Gb mem
Win 7 ultimate 64 bit
Crap HDD

Game performace is almost the same in Solo/Private/Open play, with some connection lag in open play (crap P2P ya know)

You mentioned XML tweaks... I wish to have some directions about that! thanks!

Most of the time I do not get much judder.
But near the core there is lots. Graphical settings do not seem to matter much.

i7 @ 3.6GHz;
6Gb RAM;
SSD;
gtx 970;
win 8.1.

Don't get any most of the time, especially when I've been playing for a while.
.
Only things I've done are lower some graphics settings like environment quality, materials, turned AO off... Still looks really nice to me, mostly. Lowering the resolution to anything below 1080p looks extremely blurry though on my screen, shame as I'd get a nice performance boost.

Edit: still using NVidia driver 347.52

I considered this, but if it was network related, I'd imagine the issue would be all the time, and not so specific to flying near certain types of objects. I guess it is possible those particular objects have a lot of data to send to the user. But I have a bit of a hard time buying into that for some reason.

Wonder what may be causing it as, reading all this, it sure as hell ain't hardware.

i7 4770K, 16GB DDR3 1666, 2x GTX760 SC 4GB SLI, HyperX SSD, Win 8.1 all up to date. Max settings.

Stutters like crazy. Although exclusively on planet approach.

I get plenty and it's quite annoying. To the point where my stick inputs jump because of it. But I play exclusively online and I thought that may be the issue because all my other games are smootha s butter. I-7 4790K 16GB DDR3, GTX 780, Samsung SSD. Win 8.1 Max settings

Running an i5 4670k with a GTX 770 4gb card. 8g ram

No stutter here normally but I do occasionally get some while running Unreal Engine 4 or playing Dota 2 at the same time on a different monitor.

Not enough to be a major problem other thanthe occasional overshoot speed warning if I am near my destination.

Not a problem on my machine.
What I do get however, is a problem related to alt-tabbing.
If I alt-tab even once, I get audio crackles and framerate stutter when heading back in to the game. I wonder if it's anything to do with running a USB soundcard that came with my Sennheiser PC363D headphones.
Or does everyone have problems with alt-tabbing?
