PvP Does anyone really use a Joystick + Fixed Weapons vs Small Ships.

Very interesting reading. I fly FA Off only for almost 2 years now but the level of control some people get is just beyond my comprehension. Like here:

I have a 2 fixed frags/2 Pacifiers FAS and I can manage against NPCs. But PvP? No way...
Here’s me at a recent tournament getting my behind handed back to me. If anyone can share some extra advice not mentioned here yet, I’d be grateful.
using T-16000 hotas and flight pedals for yaw axis.

Greno, joystick curves with software like target can help, but definitely this is skill you want to practice. I noticed I can fly almost anywhere but never really cared much about being accurate at pointing while maneuovering, so I started doing just practice and yezz.. it does work, I grabbed a ship and started making sure the reticle is always centered, the brain does the rest later.

A flawless joystick is also necessary, probably you have the same level of dead zones I do with that T16000, 50% of the slider :D

that guy's skills are beyond natural wth

Joystick curves? Pah. Crutch.

Patience in a HAZ. Take a small ship with fixed weapons, FA off, start with the larger vessels and work down till you're killing vipers/eagles. If you're really picking it up, SLF's.

At the end of the day it's between time spent, ship familiarity, and weapon familiarity. Master those things, in as many setups (That are worthwhile), and you'll be rolling people and especially NPC's left right and centre.
