Well, the title says most of it, and ALMOST EVERYTHING WOULD BE FIXED BEFORE IT HAPPENED. Also, this is just me being curios on other people's opions.

Does anyone think EDO will merge with Horizons like Horizons did with the base game?

I would say a 99% chance but as for everything being fixed about a 75% chance being brutally honest

Two ways to approach the question -
Is the Odyssey technology merge still on the schedule? Almost definitely. FDev wants to get back to supporting a single client codebase as soon as practical, so the Odyssey branch will eventually replace the Horizons branch client. Mostly they need to figure out what's happening with consoles before they can give us a timeline for that.
Or, will current EDH owners someday receive EDO for free, as ED base game owners received EDH during the fold-down prior to Odyssey? I'd guess probably yes, for the same reason they did the Horizons fold-down - IF the game survives long enough for another Odyssey-scale development cycle. If so, it's likely they will want to develop another set of changes major enough to merit another DLC release and get another shot of corresponding sales revenue.

Just look at the right panel and the big section you can't use on it...
Where is the percentage on the ranks too in game...
They will Push out a complete single version...
One single Game Those who Paid for the "On Foot" will just have the Extra "On foot" old EDH sections are allready gone...

Yes. Eventually. It’s only logical as hosting more than 1 version of the game is not practical, plus it enables FD to encourage new sales.
FD are already updating EDH so it shares elements, eventually it will be logical to drop EDH support but likely only when the ‘next’ season after EDO is released.
EDH launched circa 2015. So maybe not until 2027?

I meant EDH people got EDO stuff as well (just like when EDH merged with the base game)
I agree, and I think maybe might release near the next dlc (I'm guessing about, 4-6 years)
In answer to the OP's question. I hope not. With the amount of issues Oddity has, it will ruin Horizons, which has enough problems of its own btw. Doesn't need more, even though FD keep adding more issues all the time. So many things are imho better in Horizons that i for one hope they will keep them separate
Given past history then at some point probably several years in the future when they are preparing for the next paid expansion they'll give everyone odyssey for free as they wont want 3 game versions floating around to support. It will cost them less in support! However thats many years in the future and assumes they can improve on odyssey to the point a future expansion would be considered.
I think I recall FDev actually said that they were planning on doing this eventually, but that plan was put on indefinite hold thanks to Odyssey's disastrous launch.

Horizons is stable for my forays in VR and despite purchasing Odyssey I've still yet to start it up. I never wanted on foot capability, I'm not mean spirited enough to deny those of you who do in having your fun, but I've got at least 2 FPS Games, Halo and Destiny to do this far better than Frontier and ED ever could at this stage.
On Foot should have been an Add On DLC in my opinion. That way the graphics engine for Horizons/Odyssey could have been reworked for every Space Jockey and On Foot Capability added or not without affecting their game or wishes.
Bottom Line....I bought a Space Faring Game with Flyable Ships. When that's what it was Frontier Excelled at what they'd achieved....now..meh!
Can everything be rescued? Of course it can but that will take time and money.
Am I prepared to pay more for what I want?
