General / Off-Topic Does anyone work in the theme park world?

Hello everyone!

I was just wondering if anyone on here works/ has worked or would like to work at a real park?

I work at Alton Towers Resort in entertainments. I am a character animator (in costumes) and in that role I also act as a character assistant. I work also at the Enchanted Village (one of the on site hotels) as village folk and I'm a Paradise Plumber, this entails having water fights and generally entertaining in the Water Park Cariba Creek at the resort! Last season I was a ride host and got to work on several attractions including last years new roller coastser, Octonauts! At the end of last season I auditioned to be part of Scarefest and worked as an infected in one of the scare zones and also a demon in Terror of the Towers!

All last year people were telling me I should be in entertainments and that was the dream I had (pretty much all season) and as said that now I do work in that role after finding out a few days ago!

So yeah! That's me and I'm just wondering if there is anyone else here who works in that line of work!

That must be great Chris, to work at Alton Towers. I used to live in Leek many years ago (in fact my two sons still live there) which is not too far from Alton. I now live a bit further away in Tamworth, which is just ten minutes away from Drayton Manor. I still like to visit Theme Parks, even at my age and still love riding coasters and thrill rides. I think if I was a lot younger, I wouldn't mind working at one, but at 72, I don't think I stand any chance. lol

I don't work at a themepark.

I once made a whole collection of posters for the Efteling. They liked it but they had they were bussy with making new fonts so the Posters where left. Here you have a link for the posters: click here.

I'm in vlogs as a zombie but not with him. As for the price of holidays, he just shops around and works hard mate, I traveled lots last year around the world, just have to shop around for deals!

It's a small world Chris. I know Cheadle pretty well. Many years ago, I used to work at the British Industrial Sand Quarry at Oakamoor, but I think its closed now. That was back in the 1970s. And I worked on the Churnet Valley Steam Railway as a volunteer, from 1975 to 1990, when I lived in Leek. Moved to Tamworth in 1990 and been here ever since.
