Does Biowaste increase Outbreak status?

Just wondering...I've got it in my head that hauling Biowaste to a system increases the chances of that system going into Outbreak. Is this true?

Makes sense, especially if you transport it in cheap, rusty, leaky cargo containers.

If you do bio-waste transport missions it always says in the completion summary something along the lines of 'faction x is at increased risk of outbreak'.

That's interesting. In return, transporting slaves and passengers to a famine system should increase the effects of famine

Well, I mean that just depends really on what the slaves/passengers are used for...

While it's known that biowaste hauling missions increase outbreak, it's not clear that regular biowaste trading does. It would be interesting if anyone has any experience of this.

I don't, but I'm fairly certain that it was tested and found not to have any effect. Unfortunately, the discussion is buried in the BGS megathread.
