Since I mostly bounty hunt, I try to always carry 1 unit of palladium, or equally expensive item(s), so pirates attack me, saves time hunting them as they come to me, and if they fire first shot it increases their bounty
however, over time I've got sneaking suspicion that carrying a load of gold or the like seems to increase interdiction amounts
may of course just be me noticing more when carrying such loads
But maybe it does attract them, if the game's AI is written for that? Which I think it should if the program can handle it.
Been carrying 100 tons of gold in my Python and boy do I get pirate interdictions, lol.
Actually it's very handy tip to haul around a bunch of expensive metals, lets you complete mission requiring palladium, silver etc without hassles and for great profit
