Australia always does things their way, and I respect, but don't you even dare to hint to suggest to imply to ban Marmite.

Have pity on us spouses who have to make cheese and marmite sandwiches for our loved ones.

Hint. A damp tea towel draped over your head, helps.

This poll is biased and the votes are faked, I denou .... wait? Marmite is winning?

This poll is legitimate and obviously the will of the community. :D

Keep up! That's what triggered the poll in the first place!

EDIT: Can one of the Mods fix this poll please? I have it on good authority that seventeen thousand people have voted to ban Marmite but their votes aren't being registered. Obviously a forum bug.

I dont get it, why should we ban an English product for the sake of the Aussies?? Or is there a confusion with Vegemite here...

Should England ban Marmite to show solidarity with their ailing Australian cricketing cousins?

No! no no no!

Banning Marmite is one thing and just the poll answers that question for us. Not going to happen.

Banning Marmite because the Australians want us too? 'Ailing Australian cricketing cousins?' Yer right, England beats them once in a while and the whole country goes into 'Turmoil', they beat England and the Aussies burn the stumps and claim the death of English cricket. The Aussies just love to ridicule the English; every time they loose! Australia has far more time to practice their game; just look at the weather difference, for a start. I am not English, I am British and my money always goes on the English cricket teams, opponents; whoever they play in the world, as it is more often the winning bet. Yet when the Australians loose an Ashes match, I just have to smile, even if I have lost my money.

The last king of England tried to ban Marmite in the houses of parliament and so over the years that followed, there was a little spat and now the Monarch is not allowed in there any more.

George VI?

PS I don't think the Monarch isn't allowed into the Houses of Parliament, just the House of Commons.
