Does FSD Supercharging not work with small ships?

I used neutrons and white dwarfs extensively with an Anaconda, but can't seem to get the "FSD SUPERCHARGED" message with an Adder (or an Asp)?

I float into the jets in the Adder, get the "beyond safe limits" message, and that's it. Usually in the Anaconda, it's supercharged after a couple seconds.

Is it not viable on smaller ships?

Is your fuel scoop attached and powered on? Sorry this may seem a little patronising but it's the kind of gaff I've made myself.
Also is your fuel scoop in good repair?

I am not 100% sure but the fuel scoop effect the scooping rate so in adder with smaller fuel scoop you need to spend more time in the jets to "scoop" the boost. No idea as i haven't done scoops in small ships in ages, but i am pretty sure all ships can get super charged.

oh hell. I don't even have a scoop on the ship.


I suppose that's the issue...

I didn't know you needed a scoop to boost the FSD. 6 months, and still learning things.
