Newcomer / Intro Does FSS Find Everything In A System?

If I complete a 100% scan of a system with the FSS am I now able to see everything in the system in the nav panel?

Are there any hidden things that must be found in ways other than the FSS?

I need to know that if I scan a system and see nothing worth investigating and leave is there a possibility that something I'd like to find was left undiscovered?

Hope one of those makes sense.

To find absolutely everything, you would also have to DSS any landable planets. Some POIs only show up then (mostly little bases, like Dav's Hope for example). Also stuff like geological and biological locations require the DSS to reveal.

And also Guardian and Thargoid sites as well?

Well to be precise, the FSS on zooming-in tells you if a body has any features and the number of those (bio and geo). Not sure if the FSS says if there are Tharg or Guardian features though - not been back in the game long enough to have noticed if it does.

There are also signal sources (in space) with various threat levels that only reveal what's in them when you actually enter them. I think NSP show up without having to scan them.

Yup.

there are a few threads asking this
I get that this forum has a crap search....

everything said so far is correct

there are several things that do not show from FSS
most of these are the type of thing that you will only see if you are within 500ls to 1000ls
there are several types of beacons, some of them are very fussy and want to be seen up close.

then there are systems unlike other systems, where things are no where near the entry star and even the USS's are not visible or seeable in any way, until you travel the distance to their vicinity.
there are many exceptions to every rule you can think of.

no biggie for normal stuff

a real pain for the Searchers\/Seekers.

... and there are older threads with obsolete information. Sometimes its nice to clarify something that has probably had changes.

... and there is the whole criticism thing if you necro an older post but just want clarification.

I find the repetitive garbage threads annoying. And the same game suggestions posted weekly. But good questions like this I think are fine. If the same question isn't already on the first page or two.

Do "Human" locations include abandoned sites/bases and persistent crash sites?
Thats a good question. You should try it out with the inra bases inside the bubble. I think they are being counted as human signals in the fss info panel but dont show up on the nav panel. You have to fly out to the planet and select it visualy, scan it and then you are going to see it in the nav panel forever.
