Sorry I meant software crash i.e. fame locks or ED process just ends.
Seems to happen much more often in Open.
Keep throwing the error reports at ED. They WILL help narrow these glitchy problems down. If you feel up to the barrage of "try this..." from the community, you could post your system specs in this thread. Sometimes someone else's experiences will help with this type of thing.
As someone who works in IT and as a software developer, if you delete the game and reinstall it (I know it's 4GB of downloads) that might clear up any legacy issues in your installation. Backup your User folder first:
C:\Users\[username]\Local\Frontier Developments
...but try it without restoring this first, in case there's a settings glitch. You can safely restore your keybinds if you've updated them, but I'd try clean, clean, clean first and then move over old settings if you can.
